Seven trade shows and six states later, the NACS Show marks the end of our trade show season! It has been a great year and the NACS Show was the perfect venue to close out the trade show season.
The NACS Show attracts more than 20,000 industry stakeholders from around the world and with over 50 educational sections and more than 1000 exhibitor booths, there is a lot to see and do!
This year, we decided to change it up a little by using a different booth than normal and adding in some banner stands. The outcome was great–we were so pleased with how the booth looked and we received so many compliments on the new look!
We were also in a completely different location this year, closer to our friends at Fintech, and this location was huge success! We were right by an entrance and at the end of the aisle, so we got a lot of foot traffic!
Unfortunately, Jeff, Mickie, and Steve were so busy at the booth, we weren’t able to get any action shots for you to see.
The entire 2015 trade show season has been absolutely amazing despite a few travel/weather hiccups and it makes us all the more excited for what 2016 has to bring!
Last week, we attended the Oklahoma Super Trade Show which, as you probably know, is right in our backyard. We usually see quite a few of our customers at this show; however, this year proved to be different–we actually saw more prospective customers than current customers! The show was packed all morning with a steady stream of traffic, while the afternoon was a bit slower.
This was the first show to use our new banner stands and we got lots of compliments on the new look!
We also decided to be a Putt-Off Sponsor this year so we had a putting green on the right side of our booth and show attendees would come by and putt for us to mark their cards; however, some attendees were a bit confused and thought they were supposed to putt for a promo item! Regardless of the reason, it was fun to have the putting green in our booth and the attendees seemed to enjoy it!
Ben Warkentin and Nicole Taylor from our Sales Team, and Alana Livingston from the Marketing Department, represented FACTOR at the show.
If you missed us at the Oklahoma Super Trade Show, be sure to visit us at the Fintech Booth at the AFPD Show in West Bloomfield, MI on September 24th!
The Mid-Atlantic C-Store Expo took place on June 10th at the Richmond Raceway Complex in Virginia.
This show started in 2011, originally coined the “Virginia C-Store Expo,” but was renamed the “Mid-Atlantic C-Store Expo” prior to the event in 2012. The show organizers personally invite over 9,000 c-store owners/operators from Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Maryland.
This was our second year to exhibit at the show and it was amazing to see how much the show has grown from last year–in fact, the Mid-Atlantic C-Store Expo is now considered Mid-Atlantic’s largest c-store expo & trade show!

Steve and Mickie represented FACTOR at the show, but we didn’t manage to get Steve in a photo.
As you can tell from the following photos, the show halls were filled with vibrant and energetic attendees!
If you missed us at the SW Fuel & Convenience Expo, be sure to visit us at Booth #606 at the Oklahoma Super Trade Show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on September 16th!
Despite their best efforts, tornadoes, torrential rainfall, and flash flooding didn’t stop us from getting to the Southwest Fuel & Convenience Expo! Seeing as this show is practically in our backyard (Forth Worth, TX), it is usually one of our biggest shows of the year!

The SW Fuel & Convenience Expo show is “the most comprehensive fuel, food, and convenience retailing event in the Southwest United States.” Typically, there are over 300 exhibit booths and attendees representing over 1,000 different companies. Each year, this show proves to be a great venue to meet with our customers in the region.
At this show, FACTOR was represented by Jeff Westbrook, Mickie Hurley, and our newest member, Steve Ruhl.

This was Steve’s first show with FACTOR!
Unfortunately, we didn’t get the opportunity to visit with all of our customers who were attending the show, but we are grateful to all those who did have time to stop by the booth!
If you missed us at the SW Fuel & Convenience Expo, be sure to visit us at Booth #185 at the Mid-Atlantic C-Store Expo in Richmond, VA on June 10th!
We attended M-PACT last week and, luckily for us, there were no travel delays or lost luggage like the last show we attended. However, when we arrived on Tuesday to set up our booth, we were immediately greeted by a cold drizzle (a bit of a shock from the 80 Degree temperatures we left back in Oklahoma).
For the past 13 years, M-PACT has been the hub for petroleum marketers and convenience store owners from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. Each year the show gets bigger and bigger–last year, the show hosted 475 exhibitor booths and nearly 4,500 industry professionals!
Our booth on Tuesday before the show opened.
Once the doors opened, our booth had a constant stream of traffic–just the way we like it! Mickie & Jennifer met several prospective customers and we were happy to see that over 35 of our customers attended the show this year!
We can’t wait to get the statistics from the show and see just how much M-PACT has grown since last year!
If you missed us at M-PACT, be sure to visit us at Booth #507 at the SW Fuel & Convenience Expo in Fort Worth, TX (May 7th & 8th).
We are proud to announce our new partnership with Fintech! Through this partnership, FACTOR customers are able to receive a FREE 30-Day Trial of Fintech’s electronic data and payment program for their beer, wine, and liquor deliveries.
Fintech, a U.S. Chamber of Commerce Best Business of the Year winner located in Tampa, Florida, provides electronic data and payments to the alcohol industry, eliminating the need to pay alcohol purchases by cash, check, or money order and simplifying data into actionable reporting that helps businesses make smarter purchases. Fintech is the only EFT provider that is compliant and available for use in all fifty states and now works with more than 2,300 alcohol distributors to serve over 325,000 relationships nationwide.
We are excited about this partnership because of the many benefits that it provides to customers who use both FACTOR and Fintech:
Start importing and tracking your alcohol purchases directly in Factor’s system
Simplify your business with unlimited electronic invoice payments from alcohol distributors (includes Non-Alcs!)
Stop writing checks or money orders, paying cash on delivery, and the need for pre-paid and escrow deposits
Stay in compliance with alcohol invoices always paid on time and according to State regulations
Strengthen security and prevent loss and fraud
Spend more time with customers and less with delivery drivers

The Southeast Petro (Really Big) Expo was March 4-5, 2015 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Despite major travel delays, last minute shopping trips to purchase new clothes since some luggage went missing, and fears that we might not have time to set our booth up, SE Petro was a huge success!
We took our tabletop booth to this show.
Quite a few of our customers attend this show so it was the perfect venue for our new Inside Sales Representative, Jennifer Wade, to make her debut. Jeff Westbrook introduced Jennifer to a lot of customers that she might not have had the opportunity to meet otherwise. The show also gave us an opportunity to mingle with our new Partner, Fintech (more on that next week), and meet a few prospective customers.
Jeff visiting with some show attendees.
We are hoping that Jennifer does not have to camp out in an airport and fight for a rental car to get to our next show. (We also hope to get a photograph of her at the next show!)
If you missed us at SE Petro, be sure to visit us at Booth #818 at M-PACT in Indianapolis, IN (March 25th & 26th)!

The first show of 2015 has come and gone and our trade show season is off to a great start! The WPMA Expo was February 17-19 at The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
We arrived a day early to get our booth set up.
Over the span of three days, we were able to meet with several current customers, mingle with other businesses in the industry, and meet prospective customers. The nice thing about WPMA is that most exhibitors reserve the same booth each year, so we have developed relationships with those around us–it’s always nice to visit with them and discuss the industry.
Jeff Westbrook, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, meeting with a few of our customers.
This year proved to be a little different from previous years, as The NATSO Show was also taking place (February 16-19) at the Wynn Las Vegas. Attendees received dual show passes, so we were also able to meet a lot of Travel Plaza/Truck Stop Owners who jumped across to the WPMA Expo.
Mickie Hurley, Business Consultant, waiting to greet show attendees.
We were very pleased with the turnout at WPMA and we are already looking forward to WPMA 2016!
If you missed us at WPMA, be sure to visit us at Booth #1013 at the SE Petro Expo in Myrtle Beach, SC (March 4-5)!
